NEW YORK — Police in New York City say a man has died after being struck by a charter bus.

Officials say the 39-year-old man was crossing a Manhattan street when he was struck by the private charter bus Wednesday afternoon. Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Harlem.

Authorities say the 57-year-old bus driver stayed at the scene of the crash.

Police have not released the name of the victim pending family notification.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
