PHILADELPHIA — Authorities say a man captured on video attacking a transit police officer in Philadelphia has turned himself in.

Officials charged 39-year-old Sorrel Groves with aggravated assault on Wednesday.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority police responded to a report of a man on the tracks on Monday. Police body camera video shows the man shove Sgt. Lynn Perrone to the ground.

She’s been released from a hospital.

Groves is in custody and it’s not clear whether he has an attorney.
