EHRENBERG, Ariz. — The remains of an infant were found buried at a western Arizona house.

Today’s News-Herald reports ( ) an anonymous 911 caller tipped off La Paz County Sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday.

The deputies went to the house in Ehrenberg where the remains were found and occupants were questioned.

Further investigation revealed that a person from the area of Riverside, California, came to Ehrenberg around March and buried a deceased infant at the home.

The FBI was called in to assist with the investigation.

Sheriff’s Captain Curt Bagby says an autopsy is being conducted to determine the infant’s age, gender and cause of death.

Detectives have identified a person of interest.
