LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Three teenagers have been arrested and charged with the beating death of a Kentucky man, as well as a string of robberies.

Louisville Deputy Coroner Eddie Robinson says that 62-year-old Lonnie Bard was found unresponsive in a Louisville street Monday around 11 p.m. He was taken to Jewish Hospital and died Wednesday morning.

Louisville Metro Police Lt. Emily McKinley says authorities initially believed Bard was suffering from cardiac arrest, but that hospital personnel noticed trauma to his body.

Homicide detectives learned that a group of teenagers were responsible for at least two other street robberies near where Bard was found. Three minors, males ages 15 to 17, were arrested in connection to Bard’s death. Each is charged with murder and three counts of robbery.

McKinley says the investigation is ongoing.
