NEW ORLEANS — A New Orleans man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in a federal child pornography case.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Orleans says the sentence was handed down Thursday in the case of 38-year-old Grady W. Clark III. He had pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors said in a news release that federal investigators obtained a warrant to search Clark’s home in January. They seized items including a computer thumb drive with more than 1,800 pornographic images of children.

Court records show Clark had pleaded guilty to state charges of pornography involving juveniles in New Orleans court in October 2012 and was sentenced to two years behind bars.
