TOWSON, Md. — The Baltimore County Police Department says it’s on track to have all uniformed officers equipped with body cameras by the fall.
It’s been a year since the department began phasing in body cameras, and The Baltimore Sun reported Friday that about 950 officers have the devices so far.
The goal is to outfit around 1,435 people by Oct. 1.
The county accelerated the rollout of the cameras after facing questions about police shootings, including the fatal shooting of a woman who posted video to social media during a standoff.
