NEW YORK — Authorities say a New York Water Taxi hit a Manhattan dock as it was landing, with some passengers suffering minor injuries.

Firefighter Danny Glover says the vessel struck Pier 79, near Lincoln Tunnel on the borough’s West Side, on Friday just after 4 p.m.

Glover says some passengers were being evaluated for minor injuries after what he called a hard landing. But he says no one was immediately hospitalized.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.

The New York Water Taxi is a privately owned service that offers sightseeing, charter and commuter services to points along the East and Hudson rivers.
