SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Police have arrested a Scottsdale man who allegedly assaulted another person with a baseball bat before barricading himself in a building.

Scottsdale police say 39-year-old Brian Holm is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer for his case yet.

Police responded to the scene of the reported assault about 2:30 a.m. Friday.

Officers say Holm ran into a building that’s under renovation and refused to obey commands to leave the structure.

A SWAT team was called in and Holm was taken into custody around 6:15 a.m.

Police say the assault victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The man’s name hasn’t been released.
