PLYMOUTH, Conn. — Police say a 17-year-old boy was killed and several other teens were injured in an early morning car crash in Connecticut.

Authorities say eight male teenagers were in the small Chevrolet Cobalt when it crashed in Plymouth shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday. A neighbor called police after hearing a loud car crash.

Officers and paramedics found five teens with serious injuries at the scene, including the 18-year-old driver and the 17-year-old boy who died. All five were brought to hospitals.

Police say three teens left the accident site but were later located.

The teens’ names haven’t been released.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
