WILMINGTON, Mass. — Medical examiners are trying to solve a mystery involving human remains found in northeastern Massachusetts.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office says the remains of an adult male were found Friday in a wooded area in Wilmington. Officials say there were no immediate signs of foul play.

It’s not clear when the man died.

The chief medical examiner’s office is trying to identify the man.

The district attorney’s office, state police and Wilmington police are investigating.
