6th District field grows with Muncie man’s entry

MUNCIE – Republican Muncie businessman and entrepreneur Jonathan Lamb announced Tuesday he is running for the Indiana 6th District congressional seat held by Rep. Luke Messer, R-Indiana.

Messer recently announced he is running for the U.S. Senate and seeking the seat currently held by Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Indiana.

Lamb owns OptoeV Inc., a provider of patent-pending battery-powered electric farm equipment. He graduated from Yorktown High School and Ball State University and has received an MBA from North Carolina State University.

Lamb’s announcement comes shortly after state Sen. Mike Crider, R-Greenfield, announced that he will pursue the 6th District seat.
