LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A police officer in Kentucky was hit by a car during a chase.

WLKY-TV reports that a yet unidentified Louisville Metro Police Department officer was struck just before midnight Tuesday near Shawnee Park. Officials say the officer’s injuries are not serious. It is unclear how he was hit.

Police from other agencies were at the scene, but police have not issued a reason or any further details.

The investigation is ongoing.
