STEPHENTOWN, N.Y. — Police in upstate New York have arrested 19 people on various drugs charges following a series of drug busts at an arts and music festival.

New York State Police, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office and the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office collaborated to monitor drug activity at Fractalfest in Stephentown. The festival ran from July 27 to July 30 this year at Gardner’s Farm.

Authorities say 19 people are facing charges after police seized drugs like LSD, ecstasy and hallucinogenic mushrooms along with cash and drug paraphernalia. Rensselaer county District Attorney Joel Abelove says county law enforcement is committed to keeping drugs out of the community.

Fractalfest officials say they prohibit drug usage and kicked people out for misconduct. Over 1,000 people visited the festival this year.
