George W. Bill Hitchcock

George W. “Bill” Hitchcock, 71, of Columbus, died Tuesday August 1, 2017, at his home.

He retired from working in sales at Jim Gordon Inc. and also had worked at Arvin Industries in Inventory Control.

He was a previous member of the Elks Lodge and served in the Air Force Reserves.

Bill enjoyed watching sports, playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

Born June 30, 1946, in Greensburg, Bill was the son of Roland and Vey Minor Hitchcock.

Survivors include sons, Bill (Cortney) Hitchcock of Morgantown and Chris (Theresa)Hitchcock of Hanover; and grandchildren, Alex Hitchcock of Hanover and Della and Ollie Hitchcock of Morgantown.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ginger Clouse.

Bill’s funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
