Council OK’s annexation, zoning on final parcel

The city has approved annexing and rezoning the final parcel for a large subdivision adding more than 300 homes on the north side.

The city has already approved annexing 151 acres and rezoning the property for the Abbey Place subdivision at 3855 N. County Road 200W. Arbor Investments added an additional acre parcel to its plans which the Columbus City Council approved Tuesday.

Arbor Investments plans to build the homes between Indianapolis Road and Interstate 65 near the Princeton Park subdivision.

A subdivision review committee made up of city staff and utility providers is currently reviewing plans by Arbor Investments as part of the project, said Jeff Bergman, city-county planning director. Bergman said no date has been set for the matter to be reviewed further by the Columbus Plan Commission.

However, he said that Arbor Investments has until Aug. 14 to have it placed on the commission’s agenda in time for the commission’s Sept. 13 meeting.
