PITTSTOWN, N.J. — Officials say a small plane with three people aboard crashed and caught fire in New Jersey.

NJ.com (http://bit.ly/2uf5miX ) reports the single-engine Piper PA-28 plane was headed from Blairstown Airport to Sky Manor Airport when it crashed about a half-mile northeast of Sky Manor Airport, near Pittstown. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The pilot, Kyle Dalrymple, and two passengers, Clinton Campbell and Wendy Race, were conscious and out of the plane when emergency responders arrived. All three were flown to hospitals and treated for undisclosed injuries, but further details were not disclosed.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
