WINDSOR, Conn. — Police say the tree company worker who died last week in Connecticut after he was struck by a tree limb was from Harwinton.

Windsor police on Monday identified the victim of Friday afternoon’s accident as 33-year-old Shawn Varley.

Capt. Thomas LePore says the man was working on private property in Windsor when he was hit by a large branch.

He had been working for J&J Log & Lumber Corp. of Dover Plains, New York.

The death is being investigated by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
