LAFAYETTE, La. — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed another teenager.

The Advertiser reports the 15-year-old was charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 14-year-old.

Lafayette police said in a press release that the shooting happened around 9 p.m. on Sunday. Authorities say the suspect and the victim were acquaintances.

Further details have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
