Man arrested after Grouse Ridge stabbing

A local man was arrested after being accused of stabbing an unidentified friend of his wife in an incident at Grouse Ridge Public Fishing Area.

Bartholomew County Sheriff Deputies were sent to the scene at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday where Ashley Horn, 29, of Columbus, told them her estranged husband, Taylor Horn, 32, of Columbus, had attacked and stabbed a male friend, Indiana conservation officers reported Wednesday night.

She also told investigators that he damaged and pushed her vehicle from the parking area. Grouse Ridge is located in southern Bartholomew County off South County Road 700W.

The victim was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and was undergoing surgery Wednesday night for a stab wound to his abdomen, conservation officers said.

Horn turned himself in to the sheriff’s department and was arrested and preliminarily charged with battery with a deadly weapon, officers said.
