MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. — Authorities say they’ve charged two teenagers with fatally shooting an upstate New York man inside his home earlier this week.

Mechanicville Police Chief Joseph Waldron says Thursday that 19-year-old Nikolai Mavashev, of Halfmoon, and 16-year-old Joseph Broscko, of Clifton Park, are charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of David Feliciano.

Officials say the 19-year-old Feliciano was shot Monday night inside his home in the Saratoga County city located 15 miles (24 kilometers) north of Albany. Waldron says Feliciano was shot several times in the torso, then stumbled outside to the driveway. He died soon after police arrived.

Police haven’t revealed a motive for the slaying.

Both suspects are being held in the county jail. Mavashev’s public defender wasn’t available for comment. Broscko’s lawyer, Matthew Chauvin, said it was too early in the legal process to comment on the charge.
