MORRISVILLE, Pa. — Firefighters have gotten the upper hand on a stubborn scrap yard fire in Pennsylvania that carried smoke into New Jersey.

The fire broke out at Sims Metal Management in Morrisville was placed under control early Thursday. It broke out around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters brought in tanker trucks for water and used heavy equipment to move the scrap to get access to the flames.

There are no reports of injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
