FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Authorities say a man was killed in an early morning shooting in front of his Florida home.

The Sun Sentinel reports 47-year-old Rodney Chisholm was in front of his home on Thursday around 2 a.m. when authorities say a man got out of a car, approached Chisholm and shot him several times.

Broward County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion says the shooter fled and Chisholm died at Broward Health Medical Center.
