CLARKSDALE, Miss. — Authorities say four inmates have escaped from a county jail in Mississippi.

WMC-TV reports that the inmates were reported missing around 1:30 a.m. Friday, following a routine check inside the Coahoma County Jail.

The station reports that the escaped inmates have criminal charges of murder, rape, assault, and burglary.

Authorities say all neighboring law enforcement agencies have been alerted and are searching for the inmates.

A $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of any of the suspects has been announced.
