Staff Reports

HENRYVILLE — The Columbus North girls golfers are coming agonizingly close to winning an invitational, but falling just short.

A week after coming within one shot of top-ranked Westfield in the Fall Preview at Prairie View, the third-ranked Bull Dogs matched No. 4 Evansville North with 306 in Saturday’s Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational at Champions Pointe. But the Huskies claimed the tiebreaker and the title with a better fifth score.

Columbus North’s Danbi Kim fired an even-par 70 to win medalist honors for the second consecutive week. Julia Luken carded a 76, Alex Munnicha added a 78, Nathaly Munnicha shot 82 and Annie Anderson had an 89.
