Milestone Contractors L.P., which has six principal offices in Indiana including one in Columbus, contributed to an award-winning Indiana Department of Transportation highway-construction project.
INDOT’s U.S. 31 Hamilton County and Ohio River Bridges – East End Crossing projects received national recognition at the Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials annual meeting July 26 in Cleveland. INDOT received awards as part of the 10th annual America’s Transportation Awards competition.
There were five components to the Hamilton County project, including the $19.6 million State Road 38 interchange at U.S. 31 north of Westfield, for which Milestone was general contractor.
INDOT’s two winning projects will now compete for the America’s Transportation Awards Grand Prize and People’s Choice awards, with winners to be announced in September.
