Ammunition deliveries were delayed due to wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, hampering training and causing waits of up to eight months for Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department and Columbus Police.

Bartholomew County Hospital announced it would officially become Columbus Regional Hospital in late September.

1967

Nearly 200 people gathered to pay tribute to Olive Murphy at a testimonial dinner where it was announced the new west wing of Bartholomew County Hospital would be named the Olive M. Murphy Pavilion in honor of her 26 years of leadership as a hospital administrator.
