EAST MORICHES, N.Y. — One person was killed and three others injured when a car speeding down a Long Island roadway crashed into an auto body shop.

Newsday reports (http://nwsdy.li/2wqvKqO ) the crash on Sunday night killed 30-year-old Diego Balvuca-Rivera, who was driving the car along Montauk Highway in East Moriches. Police say a female passenger suffered serious injuries, while two male passengers were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police say he left the road, crashing into Croce’s Body Shop. Owner Donald Croce says the car went through a guardrail, into the shop and into a neighbor’s yard. He says no one was in the building at the time.
