CHARLESTON, S.C. — A man has been found dead on a South Carolina island and police are trying to determine how he died.

Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis told local media outlets that officers were called to Johns Island around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the man’s body was found in a residential neighborhood. His name has not been released.

No arrests had been reported Monday morning.
