NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities have released the name of a 22-year-old woman killed in a street shooting that also left three males wounded in New Jersey’s largest city.

Essex County prosecutors say the gunfire rang out on South 19th Street in Newark around 5:45 p.m. Monday.

Shirlena Coke, of Bloomfield, was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later.

Authorities say two of the wounded men were found at the scene and were taken to the hospital. They learned about the other man after he went to another hospital.

All three were treated and later released. But further details on their injuries were not released.

Authorities would not identify the men, citing security reasons.

A motive for the shooting has not been disclosed. No arrests have been made.
