GARDENDALE, Ala. — A man wanted on felony charges in three states has been arrested in Alabama after an hourslong search.

AL.com reports multiple agencies started searching for 30-year-old Robert Acree in Gardendale, Alabama, on Wednesday afternoon, and he was captured around 2 a.m. Thursday. Gardendale police say Acree was wanted in Gardendale for felony theft of a motor vehicle and is wanted on undisclosed felony charges in Florida and Louisiana.

Police say that Acree was seen running from a stolen vehicle and hid in the woods behind a subdivision while armed. A K9 unit and an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency aviation unit joined in the search, which was suspended for some time at 10 p.m.

He was later captured near the entrance of another subdivision.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
