Thomas netted a goal and an assist in the Olympians’ 3-0 semifinal win against Brownsburg and added the game-winning goal in a 3-2 championship game win against host Center Grove in Saturday’s Trojan Classic.

His performance last week: “I feel like I played pretty well and helped out the team wherever I could. (The winning goal) was like a movie moment because you have your whole team jumping on you and the crowd screaming and going crazy. It was a moment that will forever be in my mind.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “Just listen to music.”

Favorite drink: “Root beer”

Favorite food: “Steak”

Favorite book: “The Glass Castle”

Favorite class: “3-D Art”

Role model: “My mom (Jessica Thomas)”

Best advice: “Just work hard for what you want. If you really want it, put in the work and time to make sure you get it.”

Athletics goal: “To at least get in double digits scoring.”

If you could travel anywhere: “Probably Hawaii because I’ve never been there, and it’s just a beautiful place to go visit.”

Kim won medalist honors in all four matches last week. She shot a 37 against Greenwood at Harrison Lake Country Club, a school-record 32 against Batesville at Hillcrest, a 35 against Roncalli at Smock and an 18-hole 71 in Saturday’s Roncalli Invitational, also at Smock.

Her performance last week: “I really liked how I played. I like the way my putts and my short game was going because that’s usually the worst part of my game, but last week, they were the best part.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just make sure I get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast before I go.”

Favorite drink: “Coca-Cola”

Favorite food: “Burgers”

Favorite book: “I like a lot of the books I read. I don’t really have a favorite.”

Favorite class: “I like my Ceramics class.”

Role model: “My parents (Icksoo and Hyonjoo) and brother (Kyung).”

Best advice: “Never give up because in golf, if you ever start out really bad, you can always turn it around.”

Athletics goal: “I want to play really well in college (at University of Findlay).”

If you could travel anywhere: “South Korea, because that’s where all my family is.”
