BLOOMINGTON, Calif. — Southern California authorities say a man who was found dead in a burning home along with his wife and two children shot them and then killed himself.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department also says the fire in Bloomington, 50 miles east of Los Angeles, was deliberately set.

Firefighters were called to the home Wednesday morning and found smoke pouring from a corner bedroom. They pulled 35-year-old Karina Gonzalez from a front room but she died at a hospital.

Firefighters later found the bodies of a man and two girls in a bedroom.

They were identified Thursday as 48-year-old Eric Gonzalez and his daughters, 8-year-old Priscilla Gonzalez and 6-year-old Beatrice Gonzalez.

Detectives say they found handguns inside the home.

There’s no word on a motive for the killings.
