Jenny’s Picks

1)There aren’t many better ways to spend a Sunday than browsing and buying antiques, and the Hope Indiana Arts and Antiques Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 27 on the Hope Town Square, offers plenty of opportunity to do just that. Free parking and admission. Information:[email protected].

2) I have lots of collections, and I’ll admit that some of them are maintained better than others. I can get motivation for better care of my collections at the Bartholomew County Historical Society’s “Endangered Heritage,” an exhibit highlighting the importance of good stewardship of collections of items and documents in Hoosier history collections, including those maintained by the BCHS. You can see the exhibit now through Sept. 1 at BCHS, 524 Third St., Columbus. Also scheduled: “Who’s a Hoosier,” Sept. 1 through Oct. 3; and “Indiana Disasters” Oct. 5 through Nov. 8. Exhibits are part of the Indiana Historical Society’s Traveling Exhibit Program. Information: 812-372-3541.
