BATON ROUGE, La. — Authorities say a man’s body was found partially covered by plants in the backyard of a Louisiana home.

News outlets report the body was found Wednesday around 3 p.m. Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. L’Jean McKneely says it appears that the man was shot and that the victim did not live at the home where his body was found.

Police have identified the man, but did not release his name because they were trying to contact the family. Further details have not been released.
