HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man has been jailed on charges he set fire to an unmarked police car after officers responded to a fight involving armed men.

Harrisburg police say 21-year-old Omar Rivera was found with one officer’s unspecified personal effects in his pocket when police arrested him Tuesday night. They’ve also charged him with burning the cruiser the items were stored in.

Police responded when two other men with Rivera allegedly pulled guns during a dispute with a woman. When all three suspects ran away, police gave chase, only to learn a short time later their cruiser was stolen and seen burning a short distance away.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Rivera who remained in the Dauphin County jail Thursday with the others. He’s charged with arson and other crimes.
