WILMINGTON, Del. — Police say a shooting in Delaware left a 38-year-old man injured.

Police say officers were on patrol in Wilmington on Thursday when they heard gunshots nearby. Police say officers found a 38-year-old man who had been shot in the shoulder.

The man was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition on Thursday.

Police say their investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
