Led by trumpet, tuba and trombone musicians, a literal parade of Viewpoint Books employees and volunteers carted books from its 34-year home in The Commons Mall to a new location a few blocks away at Sixth and Washington streets.

1992

North Vernon Automotive Components, an outgrowth of GECOM in Greensburg, announced plans to open a plant in North Vernon by mid-December and Hendricks Box Co. announced plans to locate a new facility in Brownstown to produce corrugated products.

Columbus resident Sarah Kay Kittle, 20, was chosen first runner-up in the Miss Indiana State Fair contest.
