BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Forecasters say rain from the remnants of Hurricane Harvey could reach Alabama in coming days.
The National Weather Service says isolated showers and thunderstorms could reach north Alabama by Tuesday night, with storms becoming more numerous through Saturday. High winds and heavy rainfall are possible.
In South Alabama, forecasters say there’s an elevated risk of flooding along rivers and creeks starting Tuesday as rain chances increase.
Harvey is still dumping torrential rains around Houston, and it’s expected to remain a tropical storm centered over Texas through Thursday before weakening and moving to the northeast.
