MANCHESTER, N.H. — Police in New Hampshire say a man fell through the ceiling during a failed burglary attempt at a pizza restaurant.

Police say an employee said a man entered the restaurant in Manchester on Saturday night and headed to the bathroom, which is next door to the employer’s office. The worker heard a loud commotion and entered the bathroom to find the man on the floor covered in ceiling tiles and debris.

Police said the man ran out of the restaurant. They later arrested 34-year-old Adriano Da Costa, of Manchester on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest. He was released on bail. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer, and a phone number couldn’t be found for him.
