STAMFORD, Conn. — A 65-year-old Connecticut man has been charged with manslaughter after police say he provided the heroin that led to a Stamford man’s fatal overdose.
James Pipicelli was taken into custody Monday after being charged with second-degree manslaughter. The Stamford Advocate reports he was arrested in connection with the death of 28-year-old Daniel Peretz, who was found dead in his home on July 15 from a drug overdose.
Pipicelli’s arrest was the result of a joint investigation between Stamford police and the state Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
He is being held on $100,000 bond and it could not immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
