NEWARK, Del. — Delaware State Police are looking for a man they say robbed a truck driver at gunpoint earlier this month.

Police say a 31-year-old man was sitting inside his parked tractor-trailer at the Delaware House Service Area on Aug. 5 when another man approached the truck, pointed a handgun at him and demanded his wallet and cellphone. Police say the driver handed over his wallet, but refused to give up his cellphone.

Police say the suspect fled on foot. The truck driver wasn’t injured.

Police say the suspect is a black man between 40 and 45 years old. They’re asking anyone with information about the incident to contact authorities.
