LOS ANGELES — Authorities say seven people were injured when an SUV collided with a Metro bus in downtown Los Angeles.

City fire spokesman Brian Humphrey says the collision sent the bus veering onto a sidewalk and into a building around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

He says two patients, including the SUV’s driver, were in serious condition while the others were in fair condition.

Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
