DICKINSON, N.D. — A Dickinson man accused of driving drunk in a fatal hit-and-run on New Year’s Day has pleaded guilty.

Twenty-three-year-old Michael Bracamonte was accused of striking and killing 22-year-old Rudy Garcia with his pickup truck in the early morning hours of Jan. 1, then fleeing. He later returned and surrendered.

KXMB-TV reports that Bracamonte pleaded guilty Tuesday to two felony charges related to driving drunk and cause the death of another person. He could face up to 30 years in prison. Sentencing wasn’t immediately scheduled.
