Columbus Marsh store getting a new name

The former Marsh Hometown Market at 3075 E. 25th St. in Columbus is about to get a new name.

Needler’s Fresh Market will focus on fresh produce, particularly locally sourced products, as well as providing a high-quality, in-store bakery and deli foods, according to the new owners.

While customers can expect to start seeing the Needler’s brand by Sept. 15, new exterior and interior store branding is not expected to be completed until late October, the release stated.

The name represents the Findlay, Ohio, family that purchased the store, as well as 13 other former Marsh supermarkets, in June.

Michael S. Neelder Sr. and the late Susan Cheek Needler founded the Fresh Encounter, Inc. supermarket management company in 1995. Today, it is run by their children, Michael S. Needler Jr. and Julie Needler Anderson.
