LEBANON, Ohio — A prosecutor says an Ohio woman who called 911 to report fatally shooting her ex-husband has pleaded guilty to an aggravated murder charge and has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell says a judge accepted 35-year-old Mercedes Robb’s plea Wednesday and handed down the sentence reached in a plea deal.

Fornshell says Robb told the dispatcher Nov. 3 that she had killed her ex-husband on purpose. Deputies found Jason Robb dead in his ex-wife’s front yard in Turtlecreek Township, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) north of Cincinnati. They say the Lebanon man was shot multiple times when he arrived to pick up their two children.

A message was left for Mercedes Robb’s attorney.

Authorities said the Robbs were in a custody dispute.
