WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police say several people have been arrested in connection with the 2015 killing of a man in the Virginia suburbs of Washington.

The Prince William County Police Department announced the arrests Thursday in the death of 19-year-old Guillermo Hernandez Leyva of Montgomery County, Maryland. Leyva had been beaten and stabbed.

Police say Leyva and the suspects had ties to the gang known as MS13.

Police say Daniel Alexander Flores Ventura, Wilians Ernesto Lovos Ayala, Michael Alexander Campos Lemus and Vilas Sail Argueta Bermudez have been charged with first-degree murder. Police say they’re awaiting extradition from various states.

Police say Carlos Ulises Ohoa Pineda is charged with accessory before the fact to murder and is being held without bond in Montgomery County.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the suspects have attorneys.
