BISMARCK, N.D. — Two North Dakota hunting seasons open on Friday with the turn of the calendar.

The deer archery season opens at noon and runs through next Jan. 7. Bowhunters are reminded to follow all regulations when using tree stands on public hunting areas, and to observe bans on hunting big game over bait.

The dove season also opens Friday, and runs through Nov. 29. Hunters are reminded to register with the Harvest Information Program before hitting the field.

The daily limit is 15 birds and the possession limit is 45. Shooting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset.
