NORMAN, Okla. — Police in Norman say a man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 33-year-old woman has surrendered to authorities.

Officials say 30-year-old Charles Curtis “Kurt” Hornback turned himself in to the Norman Police Department Thursday morning.

Hornback was wanted in connection with the death of Tiffany Godwin, whose body was found inside a home in southeastern Norman on Saturday by police officers who were conducting a welfare check. Hornback was wanted for first-degree murder in the case.

He is the second suspect to turn himself in following Godwin’s death. Officials say 29-year-old Ashlee Nicole Vasquez turned herself in early Wednesday in Caddo County. Vasquez was wanted on a warrant for accessory to first-degree murder.

Police say they are conducting interviews and that the fatal shooting remains under investigation.
