OBERLIN, Kan. — Decatur County officials say a sheriff’s deputy shot and wounded a man when the man allegedly pointed a gun at the officers.
The sheriff’s office says in a news release that two deputies went to the rural home Thursday night to investigate a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, the man was holding a gun.
The sheriff says the man pointed a gun at one of the deputies and the other deputy fired his weapon.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
