PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police have been looking for a driver who struck and killed a bicyclist and kept on driving.
The 19-year-old victim’s name hasn’t been released, but police say he was struck about 11:45 p.m. when the car traveled through an intersection and hit the bike without stopping. That happened in the city’s Olney section.
Police say surveillance video of the area shows the car is white, possibly a Honda Civic or Accord. It has significant front-end damage and a cracked windshield from the impact.
Police say the bicyclist was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children with head trauma and died about 12:20 a.m. Friday.
